"One of the major forces behind the thinking at About that resulted in the creation of new Trove Music is that independent labels are often in a better position to cultivate young artists. Why? Because many independent artists have already done their own recording necessary for release and have made their own A&R and creative visual decisions, but are just in need of the polish and projection a label can give them. Signing to an indie label often proves to be a much better alternative than the often lengthy and more long term nature of the control and support that a "major" deal requires." George Daly
